Grateful for the guidance and support of positive adult role models as a teenager, Michael dedicated his professional life to helping people navigate life's difficulties and launch their future into motion.
For more than 25 years, he has been helping teens and adults to use what they have gone through as a catalyst for success rather than an obstacle for failure.
Michael is the recipient of the 2010 USA Network’s Characters Unite Award, the 2014 100 Men of Color Award, and the Y-COP Educator of the Year Award.
Using his experiences, compassion, and unique ability to meet people where they are, Michael helps young people and adults overcome obstacles, history, stereotypes, and even their self-image and limiting beliefs to lead extraordinary lives.

As a Motivational Speaker, my life is dedicated to moving people from an uneasy time in their lives to a place of peace. I don’t change their circumstances, but I help change their perspective.
I help them understand that it’s not about the destination, but the battles won along the way. I encourage them to hold on and understand that bad doesn’t look bad when there is good in it.
People will follow you if you inspire them. I work hard to inspire, lead, encourage, and celebrate the people that come into my life.
